Malta is a member of the European Union and offers holding companies, International Holding Company (IHC) since the approval of its Company´s Law back in 1995. The IHC is a Maltese resident company incorporated with the purpose of holding and managing investments in non-resident companies, to benefit from the tax exemption on dividends and capital gains received from the participated entities.
Malta also offers considerable tax exemptions: 6/7 for commercial activities and 5/7 for interests and royalties.
